10 Best Lightweight Vacuum Cleaners 2026 in the United States

The Roborock Qrevo S Pro is a powerful robot vacuum that stands out for its strong 18,500 Pa suction, making it effective at picking up dust, pet hair, and debris from various floors including carpets and hard surfaces. It weighs about 25.6 pounds, which is heavier than typical handheld lightweight vacuums, but this is common for robot vacuums with multifunctional docking stations. Its battery lasts up to 180 minutes, allowing it to clean large spaces on a single charge. The dustbin capacity is quite generous at 2.7 liters, and the vacuum’s dock automatically empties dust into a sealed bag, reducing your maintenance chores for weeks. The washable filtration system helps keep dust and allergens contained, which is great for homes with pets or allergy concerns.

It includes useful attachments like a dual spinning mop system with self-cleaning and drying features, helpful to tackle daily stains and keep floors fresh. The vacuum uses smart obstacle avoidance and can clean under furniture with its low profile design. Noise level is relatively quiet at 60 decibels, suitable for homes with kids or pets. However, due to its weight and form factor, it isn’t portable like handheld lightweight vacuums and is designed mainly for autonomous floor cleaning rather than spot cleaning or tight spaces. This model is well suited for those seeking a mostly hands-free, thorough cleaning robot that handles pet hair and multi-surface floors with minimal effort.

The Dyson V8 Plus Cordless Vacuum is a strong contender in the lightweight vacuum cleaner category. Weighing just 5.6 pounds, it is easy to maneuver and carry around the house, making it suitable for quick and versatile cleaning tasks. It offers up to 40 minutes of battery life, which is decent for most household chores but might be insufficient for larger homes or thorough cleaning sessions. The vacuum features two power modes: Powerful mode for daily cleaning and MAX mode for more intensive tasks, providing flexibility based on your needs.

Its Motorbar cleaner head is effective on all floor types and features de-tangling technology that is great for homes with pets, ensuring a deep clean without the hassle of removing wrapped hair manually. The dustbin capacity is 0.14 gallons, which is relatively small and might require frequent emptying during extended use. On the plus side, the advanced whole-machine filtration system captures 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, making it a good choice for allergy sufferers.

The vacuum comes with four essential attachments, including a hair screw tool and a crevice tool, enhancing its versatility for various cleaning needs. It converts easily into a handheld vacuum, making it convenient for cleaning cars, stairs, and upholstery. Noise levels are relatively moderate at 70 dB, which is manageable for household use. The included wall docking station and charger add to the convenience, ensuring the vacuum is always ready for use. The Dyson V8 Plus is an excellent choice for those looking for a lightweight, cordless vacuum with good suction power and flexibility, particularly for homes with pets. However, the smaller dustbin capacity and battery life may be limiting factors for some users.
